The solutionSeven workflows, redesigned for self-service
We redesigned three material and four finance master data workflow solutions for self-service. Requesters complete the request themselves, automatic validations replace manual checks, and SAP is updated in the background. The master data team handles only rare exceptions and errors.
The client runs two SAP S/4HANA systems, and their data must be kept in sync.
Key functionalities
Ergonomic layout
The requester is prompted to act only if the previous step was completed successfully. A simplified layout shows only the relevant fields, and rule-based value determination keeps data entry to a minimum.
Quality assurance
Data is validated before submission against SAP and additional business rules. A duplicate check runs against SAP data and requests in progress. Functional approval steps were replaced by automatic validations.
Autonomous SAP execution
SAP activities run in the background, which minimises waiting time and effort for people. Errors are detected automatically and routed to the right master data team based on the error type.
